Abstract

Gastric ulcer Many of the most common diseases are prevalent in gastrointestinal diseases, peptic ulcer is a chronic inflammatory condition defined by ulceration in the upper gastrointestinal tract regions where parietal cells are located and secrete hydrochloric acid and pepsin. The stomach and duodenum are the two anatomical areas where ulcers often form, resulting in ulceration of the stomach and duodenum, respectively. Ulcer physiopathology is caused by a conflict between aggressive factors like acid, pepsin, Helicobacter pylori, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as well as locally mucosal protection factors, including mucus bicarbonate, blood flow, and prostaglandins. To prevent or cure gastro-duodenal ulcers, medications are commonly utilized. H2-receptor antagonists, proton pump inhibitors, and cytoprotectants are among them. Because of the complications connected with recurrence after therapy, there is a need to look for other options.
