Abstract

The BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes are important tumor suppressor genes that play a vital role in the DNA double-strand break homologous recombination repair process, and mutations in these genes predispose individuals to breast and ovarian cancers. BRCA MGT, which is a genetic testing initiative, has been implemented in the clinical interaction of advanced ovarian cancer patients, leading to advancements in tailored therapy. The interaction between ATM-Chk2 and RAD51 is necessary to activate ATR-Chk1 after DSBs and start homologous recombination. In addition, some females may experience non-random X-chromosome inactivation, leading to hereditary malignancies. BRCA mutations have been the focus of ethnographic research, and they represent a story of gendered activity, hope, and propulsion. Personalization of patients molecular profiles is becoming more important for creating and administering personalized therapy. The BRCA genes can impact fertility, and ovarian reserve and fertility preservation may be necessary in breast cancer patients with BRCA mutations. The FDA and EMA have approved Niraparib, Rucaparib, and Olaparib for the treatment of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer patients.
